Daffodils’ Home Secondary School celebrated Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas with great enthusiasm and pride, highlighting the importance of the Nepali language and its rich cultural heritage. The programme provided students with an opportunity to appreciate, express and celebrate the language through a variety of creative and engaging activities.
The celebration began with a spirit of togetherness as students and teachers came together to commemorate the significance of Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas. The programme featured a wonderful range of performances prepared by students from different classes.
The students of Class IV presented engaging acts that added colour and energy to the celebration. The Class V studentspresented a beautiful dance prepared under the guidance of Miss Sikha, showcasing their enthusiasm and appreciation for Nepali culture.
Students of Class VII presented a thoughtful poem recitation, while the students of Class VIII also prepared and presented a poem centred around the importance and beauty of the Nepali language. Their performances reflected not only their creativity but also their understanding of the role language plays in preserving our identity, culture and traditions.
The celebration was further enriched by the participation of our teachers. Miss Megha, Roshan Sir and Sanjog Sirrecited poems originally composed by them. Through their poems and words, they beautifully highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the Nepali language, inspiring students to value their mother tongue and cultural heritage.
An exciting quiz on Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas was also conducted by Roshan Sir and Sanjog Sir. Students enthusiastically participated in the quiz and answered questions related to the history, recognition and significance of the Nepali language. The quiz made the programme both educational and interactive, allowing students to learn while enjoying the celebration.
The programme successfully combined learning, creativity, culture and entertainment. Each performance reflected the students’ preparation and enthusiasm, while the contributions of the teachers added depth and meaning to the occasion.
Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas at Daffodils’ Home Secondary School was therefore not merely a celebration, but a meaningful reminder of the importance of protecting and nurturing our language.
