Daffodils’ Home Secondary School celebrated India’s Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism and pride. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, marking the start of the day’s programme. As the National Flag was unfurled, students and teachers stood together with pride and respect, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Following the flag hoisting, Miss Karma delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Independence Day. Her speech highlighted the importance of remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and encouraged students to understand their responsibilities as citizens of the nation. She also reminded the students that the true spirit of independence lies in unity, discipline, respect and contributing positively to society.
The celebration then continued with a vibrant programme presented by the students. The school premises came alive with the colours of the national flag as students showcased their talents and expressed their love for the nation.
The students presented a series of patriotic skits prepared under the guidance of Beena Miss. Through their performances, they conveyed meaningful messages of patriotism, unity, courage and love for the country.
Adding to the patriotic spirit, the students presented a patriotic song taught by Sanjok Sir. Their heartfelt rendition created an atmosphere of pride and togetherness among everyone present.
A special part of the programme was a poem recited by Ansh, whose expressive presentation beautifully reflected the spirit and significance of Independence Day.
The celebration was a meaningful opportunity for students to learn, participate and reflect on the values that define our nation—freedom, unity, responsibility and service to the country.
The programme concluded on a cheerful note with refreshments being served to the students, bringing the celebration to a happy close.
It was a memorable day filled with patriotism, creativity, togetherness and pride in our nation.
