
In response to the nationwide environmental initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, Daffodils’ Home Secondary School organized a plantation drive on 05 June 2026. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness among students while encouraging them to plant and nurture trees as a tribute to their mothers and Mother Earth.
Objectives
* To create awareness about environmental conservation.
* To encourage students to actively participate in plantation activities.
* To instill a sense of responsibility towards nature and sustainable living.
* To support the vision of increasing green cover through community participation.
Activities Conducted
Students from different classes enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive. Saplings were collected and prepared for planting within the school premises. Under the guidance of teachers, students planted saplings, learned about their importance, and pledged to care for them regularly.
The students also prepared posters and awareness messages highlighting the significance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and combating climate change. The activity provided a practical learning experience and strengthened students’ commitment to environmental stewardship.
Participation
The plantation drive witnessed active participation from students and teachers of the school. Approximately 20 saplings were planted during the activity.
Outcome
The programme successfully raised awareness about environmental conservation and encouraged students to take ownership of the planted saplings. The activity reinforced the message that every individual can contribute to a greener and healthier future through simple actions such as planting and nurturing trees.
Conclusion
The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive was successfully conducted at Daffodils’ Home Secondary School. The event served as a meaningful tribute to mothers while promoting environmental responsibility among students.
